The Oblako Killer Glaze is a premium, handmade Russian hookah bowl designed with a traditional five-hole, flat-bottom "killer" shape and finished with a protective food-safe glaze. It is widely celebrated in the shisha community for intensifying tobacco flavours and creating a stronger, more robust smoking session compared to standard unglazed or milk-fired bowls.
Key Features & Performance
- Material & Build: Handcrafted in Russia from high-quality white clay. Because they are handmade, every individual bowl features a unique shape and tonal variation.
- The Glaze Benefit: The upper portion is coated in a vibrant protective glaze that prevents molasses and tobacco syrup from bleeding into the clay. This preserves the purity of your flavours across different sessions and makes the bowl significantly easier to clean.
- Flat-Bottom ("Killer") Design: The flat base ensures the tobacco heats evenly, resulting in excellent heat distribution, optimal airflow through the 5-hole system, and massive cloud production.
- Capacity & Session Length: It holds roughly 20 to 22 grams of tobacco, making it a medium-sized bowl optimized for long sessions lasting over an hour.
Smoking Character & Versatility
Unlike standard phunnel bowls, a glazed killer bowl delivers a harder hit and brighter flavour profiles, though it requires slightly more precise heat management. It handles loose-pack tobaccos with medium humidity beautifully and is highly versatile—performing exceptionally well with both traditional blonde leaf and heavy dark leaf tobacco blends.
It pairs best with Heat Management Devices (HMDs) like a Kaloud Lotus for optimal performance, but it can also be used with traditional foil setups
